After over 6 months of gathering entries for our competition to win a place on the tenth annual Thrivers Cruise, our winner was Ms Barbrick (Kerry) Sparkes! She and a friend will travel to Florida to join the Navigator of the Seas for a one-week Royal Caribbean Cruise, courtesy of the Breast Cancer Foundation. She also wins two round trip air tickets, generously donated by Cayman Airways.
The cruise leaves Fort Lauderdale on the 24th April. The ship will sail directly to Grand Cayman arriving in George Town on the 26th April, where a short reception hosted by the Breast Cancer Foundation and the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens will be held at Margaretville. We are thrilled to say the Steel Band from our very own John Gray High School will be there to entertain around 300 survivors.
After leaving Grand Cayman, the ship will sail to Jamaica, Haiti and then back to Florida. Kerry has never been on a cruise before this and is very much looking forward to being on the cruise but to also meet and make new friends with her fellow breast cancer survivors. It is sure to be a fabulous event.
