The Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) is extending its heartfelt thanks to the ownership and management of TRAC Automotive for a remarkable and deeply appreciated gift: the donation of a new vehicle to the Foundation.
For BCF, this is far more than the donation of a car. It is an investment in the Foundation’s ability to reach the women, families and communities it serves across the Cayman Islands.
The new vehicle will provide the Foundation’s team with greater flexibility and reliability as it delivers its growing range of services, including early detection initiatives, community outreach, awareness programmes, wellness support and assistance to women navigating breast cancer.
“This donation means so much to us because it directly increases our ability to be there for the people who need us,” said Beverly Edgington, Chief Operating Officer of the Breast Cancer Foundation. “A vehicle may seem like a practical gift, but for us it represents something much bigger. It means our team can get out into the community, reach more people and deliver our services where they are needed. Ultimately, every journey this vehicle makes will be about supporting someone affected by breast cancer.”
The Foundation has experienced significant growth in recent years as more people in Cayman seek support throughout their breast cancer journey. Its work now extends well beyond financial assistance, encompassing awareness and education, early detection, wellness, survivorship and practical and emotional support.
Edgington added:
“We are incredibly fortunate to operate in a community where businesses understand that giving back is not simply about writing a cheque. TRAC Automotive has made a tangible investment in the work we do and, most importantly, in the people we support. We are genuinely grateful to the entire TRAC team for their generosity and confidence in the Foundation.”
A representative from TRAC Automotive, said:
“TRAC Automotive is proud to support the Breast Cancer Foundation and the important work they do throughout our community. We know that their team is out every day supporting women and families affected by breast cancer, and we wanted our contribution to be something practical that would help them continue that work. We hope this vehicle will make their work a little easier and allow them to reach even more people across Cayman. It is a privilege for us to be able to give back to an organisation that makes such a meaningful difference in our community.”
The donation comes at an important time for the Foundation as it continues to expand its programmes and ensure that access to breast cancer support, education and early detection is available to people throughout the Cayman Islands.
“The greatest gift any organisation can receive is the ability to do more for the community it serves,” said Edgington. “TRAC Automotive has given us exactly that. We will put this vehicle to work, and its impact will be felt in the lives of the women and families we support for years to come.”
The Breast Cancer Foundation sincerely thanks the ownership and management of TRAC Automotive for their extraordinary generosity and for demonstrating once again the strength of Cayman’s community spirit.
