Q&A with Nick Adendorff from Green2Go.
What services/products do you provide?
Green2Go, as a dedicated local company, is on a mission to deliver not only high-quality ingredients and unrivaled taste but also the convenience of nourishing products to our customers. We operate as a subscription-based business, providing a diverse selection of health-oriented beverages tailored to meet your specific requirements. Upholding respect for our island, we operate on a 100% glass and 100% plant-based policy, for our commitment to environmental sustainability.
When did you start partnering with BCF and why?
Green2Go began our collaborative journey with BCF in 2013, our purpose to help the Cayman people’s health through nutrition. The motivation for this partnership stemmed from a very personal place, as both of my parents battled cancer. This experience fueled my passion to help and heal others, leading us to align with BCF in our shared mission.
Why do your juices help breast cancer patients and their families in Cayman?
Local, freshly made juices and smoothies, abundant in essential nutrients, can support people dealing with cancer by boosting their immune systems, providing hydration, being easy to digest, offering a natural energy boost, and aiding in weight management. While they are not a cure or standalone treatment for cancer, they can form a vital part of a holistic approach to managing the disease. They provide a convenient way to consume a range of nutritious foods, but should be consumed as part of a balanced diet and under the guidance of a healthcare provider.
Are there any tips to help breast cancer patients and survivors during their breast cancer journey?
Absolutely, it’s essential to remember that every step taken in this journey is a testament to the incredible strength that resides within you. First and foremost, nourish your body with love by embracing a balanced diet, filled with fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Hydrate, not just to quench thirst, but to replenish and rejuvenate your body.
Your journey is uniquely yours, and while the road may be challenging, remember the incredible resilience and strength within you. You’re not just surviving, you’re living, and every step you take is a testament to your courage and spirit.
Can you tell us a memorable experience with a BCF patient or Survivor or Thriver?
I remember the early days of our partnership with BCF. As part of the initial collaboration, I made a personal commitment to meet every single patient. It wasn’t just about delivering our products; it was about having meaningful connections and understanding their individual stories. Every day of the week, I was there, personally delivering the products and taking the time to sit, chat, and truly get to know each individual. The opportunity to listen to their life stories, learn about their experiences, and explore even the smallest ways I could assist, was both humbling and deeply inspiring.
An interesting fact about you?
Assisting others, contributing to their well-being, giving, and aiding in their healing journeys through our products, are the moments when I truly feel most content, accomplished, and fulfilled in life.
