First Women’s Golf Tournament

In aid of the Breast Cancer Foundation

Our supporter Elisabeth Catalfamo organized a Women’s Golf Tournament and lunch in aid of the Breast Cancer Foundation. The ladies wore pink, and fun was had by all whilst raising an impressive KYD 6,300 through sponsorship, raffle prizes and donations.

Thank you to Elisabeth, the sponsor RSM, the players and attendees for your support and generosity.

BCF Team News

BCF’s Marina, Pam and Eleanor completed the Cayman Islands Half Marathon.

If you don’t listen to your body, you may not hear the warning signs

Cheyenna was nursing her child when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her advice is to have a mammogram immediately if you have any signs and symptoms.

“My symptoms started in 2021 while still breast feeding.

I didn’t notice. I believed the fallacy that if you are nursing you most likely won’t get breast cancer. Little did I know that my child refusing to nurse on one side was the first sign something was wrong. In July of 2021, I experienced a searing pain from under my arm to the front of my breast. It completely took my breath away but was gone as quickly as it came. I didn’t listen and a couple of months later it happened again.

I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer – Lobular Carcinoma r2- hormone induced.”
