The Breast Cancer Foundation is thrilled to have been chosen as the sole charity to benefit from the Island Heritage Charity Drive, which will take place on Saturday, 23 April 2016. We were voted for by all the staff in the company so we thank them sincerely.
The drive will start at 7 a.m. on the Island Heritage Roundabout, we will have a whole load of volunteers on that roundabout and others positioned by the Galleria and Lawrence Boulevard directing traffic to the Island Heritage Roundabout, the charity will receive CI$1 for every car that passes, so PLEASE go round a few times. We will also receive cash from every “support” click on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
There will also be a fabulous and exciting afternoon at Royal Palms, starting at 2 p.m., Island Heritage has had constructed a 20-foot water slide, it will be CI$10 to enter Royal Palms, and this entry will include a go on the slide. You slide into 3-foot of water filled with coloured balls, on the bottom of the pool will be discs for you to grab and they can be exchanged for superb prizes, the grand prize is a massive C$$2000!!!
All this fun will carry on until 6 p.m., when we will then start the registration for the Light Up The Night Beach Walk and that will commence at 7 p.m. from Royal Palms to the Ritz-Carlton, where refreshments will be laid on and then the participants turn around and walk back, flashing pink balloons, glow sticks and light up in the dark t-shirts it is a great sight to see by the light of the (almost) full moon. The price for entry for the walk is CI$25 and you can pre-register here on our webpage, by calling at our office based in the Remax store at Seven Mile Shops or e-mailing .
T-shirts for the Light Up The Night Walk will be available from the first week of April, the amount we have is limited, so I urge everyone to book theirs as soon as they can.
You can also register for the walk on the night at Royal Palms from 6 p.m. After the walk, which starts at 7 p.m., we will have a raffle, the entry fee includes the raffle ticket though extra raffle tickets can be purchased on the night at a cost of CI$5. We have some truly awesome raffle prizes.
All monies raised this year from both the Island Heritage Day and the LUTN walk will go towards the Breast Cancer Foundation’s Wellness Program, further information can be found here on our website about the Wellness Program, if you require any further information on the program or are a breast cancer patient or survivor and would like to be part of the program please e-mail or call 949 3542 or 923 1135.
