The 2015 Breast Cancer Gala was held on Saturday, October 3rd at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman.
The 2015 Breast Cancer Gala Dinner keynote speaker was JOAN LUNDEN, an award-winning journalist, best-selling author, motivational speaker, successful entrepreneur, one of America’s most recognized and trusted television personalities. As host of Good Morning America for nearly two decades, Lunden brought insight to top issues for millions of Americans each day. The longest-running host ever on early morning television, Lunden reported from 26 countries, covered 4 presidents and 5 Olympics, and kept Americans up to date on how to care for their homes, their families, and themselves.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014, Joan says “I have decided to talk about my breast cancer because since the moment I took the job at Good Morning America I have lived my life sharing my joys and my disappointments with all of you: my pregnancies, my relationships, my career… I have shared my journey. So it certainly didn’t feel right keeping this part of my journey a secret.”
FIGARO entertained guests at the gala! In the spirit of Il Divo, four of America’s most talented performers with successful careers in opera, music, and theatre, have grouped together to perform dynamic and moving renditions of some of the world’s most popular crossover classics. Bringing Audiences to their feet, Figaro is American’s entertainment sensation. Culminating in performances throughout 23 countries around the world, their extensive experience spans performances in the operas: La Boheme, Don Giovanni, The Barber of Saville, Carmen, La Traviata, The Magic Flute, Die Fledermaus, Rigoletta, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, and many more.
