LIME has launched a ‘text to donate’ programme so phone users can donate $10 to the Cayman Islands Breast Cancer Foundation.
The programme runs through to Sunday, 31 October.
LIME customers can text the word PINK to 7465 for $10; all proceeds go to the foundation.
“This is a simple way for everyone to support this great cause …” said Tony Ritch, general manager of LIME Cayman Islands.
Throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the phone company has participated in a number of activities to raise awareness among its staff and customers about the disease.
Mr. Ritch said: “Breast cancer has touched almost all of us, whether it’s our mother, sister, aunt or cousin, we all know or have heard of someone being affected by this illness. By supporting this fantastic project, we are helping raise awareness of this disease.”
LIME and Foster’s Food Fair also are offering a pink, reusable grocery bag giveaway for every LIME prepaid customer who tops up $5 or more at any Foster’s store. All proceeds will to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
