The pink-tie event takes place on Saturday, October 16th at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman. The event aims to raise funds to provide assistance for cancer patients in need, and to assist awareness groups such as the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and The Lions Club of Tropical Gardens. It also provides financial support for the Cayman Islands Cancer Registry as well as to the establishment of a reserve fund for future needs.

Attendees enjoy a gala dinner and entertainment and can take part in both a silent and live auction. In 2008 and 2009 the event raised in excess of CI$135,000 towards the Foundation’s major causes.

Tom Crawford, Managing Director Retail, Wealth Management and Small Business for First Caribbean International Bank, commented, “Here at FCIB the spirit of philanthropy is rooted in our corporate culture and we are delighted to once again partner with the Foundation for this event. He added, “The proceeds from this event will ensure that residents living with cancer have a better opportunity towards recovery. We congratulate the Breast Cancer Foundation for their continued hard work with putting on such a worthwhile event.”
